here are a few of the projects I've enjoyed THROUGH THE PAST FEW YEARS

Firewood Processing Category: Landscape / Maintenance

CATEGORY: Kitchen & Bath

Requirements: plumbing fixtures and valves, general carpentry, flooring, sheetrock, paint, trim & door installation

EXTERIOR PAINT - UTILITY SHEDS - PATHWAYS - GUTTERS

When replacements don't exist...

Custom glass ordered specific for application

-Metal door required filling of multiple holes created by owner when securing the opening with plywood

-One piece door and sidelights, after removal the entire framework had to be disassembled piece by piece, primarily plastic and aluminum extrusions

-Glass was two layer insulated, manufactured for this door in 1984. No longer available from manufacturer, manufacture had no recommendations for replacement and offered no suitable substitute.

-Requirements: materials application and use, sealants, precision measurement, fabrication

-2 trim pieces were damaged requiring custom fabrication to produce matching replacements

Rockery Re-work

Rockery failed after heavy rain, improper drainage liquified the soil behind the wall, the drainage system in place was such that is actually retained water, thus facilitating the failure by increasing the weight of the mass behind the wall and greatly increasing the force exerted against the rockery

Better than new!

Added a small planting terrace, increased penetrable surface area, reduced wall size at highest point, reduced mass at vertical drop point and reduced lateral forces pushing outward on the wall face,

Sheetrock nail heads breaking the interior wall surface. Exterior sheathing (T1-11) removal induced excessive torsional force on some wall studs. As the stud rotated slightly the nail stayed in position thereby creating a small gap between the exterior side of the sheetrock and wall studs. When the force was removed the stud returned to its prior position, the nail, slightly extracted from the stud, returned further inward protruding through the mud joints
